Total distance: 173 miles (276.8 kilometres)

The Oxfordshire cycleway was a circular long distance route around Oxfordshire, taking in many of the county's most beautiful and historic landmarks.

Sadly it has been withdrawn as a route recommended by the English tourist board due to increasing traffic levels. The two map links above lead to a route set up in 2008, which has been split into two 130km rides over a couple of days, starting and finishing in Pangbourne, with an overnight stop in Chipping Norton.

Because this was our first ride, we split it into three, doing 35 miles on Friday evening to get us started. It is entirely up to you how you split the ride up, however you should check the elevation layout to ensure you aren't doing a huge hill first thing in the morning on your last day like we did!

For a more complete write-up of this ride, please see the introduction page.
